Rosie has been teaching wheel-throwing for the past three years, guiding numerous students from complete beginners to confident, skilled makers. Her calm and clear teaching style, combined with a genuine enthusiasm for the craft, creates a supportive and engaging learning environment - offering students not only a new skill, but also a welcome escape from the demands of daily life.

A strong advocate for the therapeutic benefits of working with clay, Rosie believes in the value of creative expression for everyone. She offers private one-to-one tuition, small group sessions, and engaging taster workshops for up to eight participants.

Group Workshops & Events With Rosie

£95 per person - 3 hours

Class size 6-8

Whether you are beginning your pottery journey or looking to build on existing skills, this workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of wheel-throwing. It is designed to introduce to the craft in a relaxed and friendly space and to help you develop confidence and consistency in your throwing practice while learning a valuable new skill.

In this engaging and supportive session, you will learn essential techniques such as centering clay on the potter’s wheel and throwing simple forms like cylinders and bowls.

Participants typically create between one and three pieces during the workshop. At the end of the workshop, each student selects their two favourite pieces to be professionally trimmed, glazed, and fired by the instructor. Pieces will be finished using either a white or black glaze, then fired again to ensure a beautiful, durable result.

All materials are provided, and refreshments including tea, coffee, and biscuits are available. Your glazed and fired work will be available for collection or postage approx. 4 weeks after the workshop.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with limited wheel-throwing experience.
