Hand building Monday Drop-ins

Whether you're a total beginner or looking to develop your hand-building skills, join us for a relaxed, drop-in evening session. Each week begins with a short guided demo, followed by open studio time to work on your own projects with support as needed. Learn to make bowls, plates, platters, vases and more, with expert tuition on hand throughout.

Emily has been teaching students how to make hand-built ceramics for over four years, offering a calm, supportive space for students to slow down and explore clay with intention. Whether in one-to-one sessions, small group classes or lively team events, her workshops focus on ancient hand-building techniques that celebrate texture, simplicity and personal expression.

A published author on ceramics, Emily brings both deep knowledge and a relaxed, approachable teaching style. Her background in 3D design and years in the creative industries shape her eye for form and function, while her passion lies in helping others reconnect with making. Expect imperfect beauty, muddy hands, and the quiet joy of creating something from nothing
